This new program is broken into 3 phases once again, but they are as follows:
Phase 1 Weeks 1-4 Stability & Muscle Endurance: In this phase, workouts will challenge you, but we will be building on your muscle and cardiovascular endurance. Every workout will have a component of resistance, cardiovascular and stability training to promote muscle symmetry, balance, and overall endurance. This phase of the program will enhance your athletic baseline, increase your metabolic furnace, and train you in activating the correct muscles to build muscle. Repetitions will be high, amount of rest between sets will be slow and overall tempo of strength movements will be slow as well.

Martino Fit is teaming up with Dope Yogi to offer MF’ers exclusive access to top notch virtual yoga classes every week. Nicole Doering of Dope Yogi has over 10 years of yoga instruction under her belt and has been a Nashville favorite (pre-corona) for many years. Each week you’ll have the opportunity to stretch your body and mind for optimal recovery to your busy and hardworking week. Classes are not easy by any means, you’ll still break a sweat, but you will be pulled in new directions for yet another opportunity of physical growth
Phase 2 Weeks 5-8 Optimal Strength and Muscle Growth: This phase will challenge you in a new way as we will build on your strength increased volume of training to further stimulate muscle growth. Phase 2 will build on your cardiovascular endurance achieved in Phase 1 to improve your metabolic conditioning. In this phase you’ll develop increased exercise tolerance, increased muscle mass, and an increased metabolism.
Phase 3: Week 9-12 Power: This phase is the culmination of progressions and physical development up until this point. Here we we will integrate all training applied up until this point to push your athletic abilities. In this phase you will experience an increase in power and strength, improve sports performance (i.e. chase your kids and catch them!)
WHAT YOU NEED: You do NOT need a gym membership. Good news right?
You DO need: Adjustable dumbbells or a couple sets of medium to heavy. (You’ll be surprised how far a pair of 15 lb dumbbells can take you!).
