If you are ready to make a change, get healthier, and become more fit, there are 5 truths you must know in order to achieve long term success.
1. Create a Sustainable Eating Plan
This is so much more than limiting calories. Long term eating means adapting but only embracing a system that you will stick to! If you like carbs, you eat carbs! If you like an afternoon cookie, incorporate it! But also, in a flexible dieting approach, we make sure you eat in a way that will not only maximize long term weight loss, but capitalize on the training you’re putting in at the gym.
2. Train with Purpose or You Could be Wasting your Time
There is so much more to working out than a calorie burn. In the Martino Fit program, we not only work to change the aesthetics of your body like building in places you want to build, to create an hourglass you always wanted. But, by introducing strength training technique to your regiment, you will reverse the gravity of aging, to improve your performance and aid in overall functional wellness. My program will not have you doing endless cardio, but implements High Intensity Interval training that can actually burn more calories beyond your 20 minute workout (yes 20 minutes is all!).
3. Create Habits and Learn to Love them
It takes time to teach your body to love what is good for it. One of the MANY reasons fad diets don’t work long term is that they don’t focus on implementing long term habits. Habits become your friend and by implementing small changes over time, you will create life long habits that will serve you in longevity of good health. Simple things like meal planning, adding protein to every meal, making the gym part of your routine, drinking water as soon as you wake up… these all add up to big results!
4. Know the Unpopular Truths (And Pursue it Anyway).
Anytime you want to change, you are going to have to get uncomfortable. Might as well embrace it! Hard work, diligence, never giving up. These are the unpopular truths that change is hard and there is no sugar coating it, but oh so rewarding! Especially when you have a coach and community in your corner!
5. Have Goals.
If you want to see a difference, you must have a vision! Make a decision, devise a plan, have a destination, and go! Teaming up with a coach and a community, you will have a cheer squad in your corner. Get down to the nitty gritty, find your why, and conquer!
